FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is Catalyst Effective for People with Health Concerns?
Catalyst is not a health care approach. Catalyst is an analysis system for delivering techniques that are highly effective for enhancing quality of life.
However, a direct relationship between Catalyst and health exists, though this relationship does not mean that Catalyst is a health care practice. Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) is a field in science that studies the mind-body connection in relationship to health. An important variable that contributes to a person regaining or maintaining health is the strength of the immune system. Catalyst concedes and research shows that a direct correlation exists between reported improvements in quality of life and functional enhancement of the immune system.
Although a person may experience relief of symptoms through Catalyst, health care is NOT the domain of Catalyst. Even though Catalyst facilitators are happy to be of assistance to people who are experiencing a challenge, the focus remains on continuous improvements in quality of life.
Catalyst facilitators are neither trained nor equipped to diagnose and treat sickness and disease, which are the standard protocols (and common sociological rituals) for "health" care.
Practicing health care professionals must follow strict guidelines and protocols set forth by regulating agencies or subject themselves to severe liabilities. These regulating agencies exist to ensure that proper care is being delivered to the people of our community in search of health. However, the same protocols in place today that protect the people make it difficult for health care professionals to address the people. Instead, a "battle" takes place between the health care professional and a presenting sickness, disease, or condition.
Catalyst is NOT a practice that focuses on diagnosing and treating sicknesses, diseases, or conditions. Instead, Catalyst is a practice of working with people and the spirit of life within them.
Diagnosis is an incredibly important tool, especially for people who have a life-threatening condition. Fortunately, we are not deficient in the numbers of health care professionals practicing diagnosis in our culture. In my opinion, we have a deficiency in the number of professionals who truly address the whole person.
Putting attention on the person (not the symptom) is a strong point of Catalyst. So while most doctors thankfully follow the health care protocols of focusing on diagnosis and the treatment of symptoms and conditions, Catalyst facilitators, not being health care providers, are able to focus exclusively on the whole person moving toward a more peaceful expression of life.
