FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What Happens During a Catalyst Session?

The person receiving Catalyst (the participant) is fully clothed throughout the session. The facilitator begins a session by using multiple scanning techniques to evaluate which of the four Types of Care is most appropriate and supportive to deliver. The facilitator then uses a unique analysis system to evaluate the participant's body type. (There are four main body types.) After completing the evaluation, facilitators determine which specific Catalyst technique to deliver. The facilitator will use either highly specific touches, movement, body positioning, or other stimulating input to empower the body's intelligence to bring about the objective for care.

Depending upon the technique and area of the body needing attention, participants will either be seated, standing, lying face up, or lying face down. (Facilitators use a comfortable massage-like table for lying down.) During the delivery of Catalyst, facilitators work to increase peace, breath, movement, and fluidity throughout the body.

A Catalyst session usually lasts anywhere between five minutes to an hour, and brings with it a deep feeling of relaxation and/or connectedness.
