This page helps you understand what you can do to get the most out of Blue Night. The main objective of Blue Night is to facilitate a deep, peaceful, intimate connection between you and the intelligence of life within your body. Your full cooperation toward this objective helps immensely. Here are some suggestions to make your experience most enjoyable…
Wear loose-fitting comfortable clothes. Arrive to the office (Catalyst Wellness Center) at about 10 minutes before the top of the hour: 1182 Grimes Bridge Rd., Ste. 400, Roswell, GA 30075. Upon arriving, enter, remove your shoes, and leave them on the shelf next to the front door.
You will notice that no one will be talking or making eye contact. You will also notice the candlelight and that specially selected music will be playing. Please do your part and refrain from talking and making eye contact. This form of cooperation supports a more profound, deep intimate connection for everyone.
Get comfortable, and allow the body and mind to relax into the resonance of Blue. At the top of the hour, the facilitator will enter the room and go into a specific posture (the gratitiude/humility posture) to prepare for facilitating Blue. Once ready, the facilitator will leave the room. At this point, you may enter the session room of your choice. (There are three session rooms available.) If you are the first participant going into a session room, you get the first choice in choosing your session table for the hour. Once you choose your table, begin in any position you choose. You may start out seated, lying face down or face up, standing, or in any other position that best supports you at that time. You have complete freedom in this regard.
As the session progresses, the facilitator will not tell you to change positions. Freely follow your inner guidance. Allow your body to move in accordance with the wisdom of life within you. Change positions as little or as often as you choose. If, for example, your body wants you to lie on your back, stomach, or side, simply follow its direction. Be ready for anything. Your body may guide you to stand, sit, bend, kneel, or take some other position. It may direct you to move or stretch.
If you are unaware of the right position to be in at the time, try, for example, sitting, standing, lying down, moving, stretching, etc. You can explore any position or movement you choose. While exploring, however, always listen to the body. You can move or stretch if that feels right. If you feel like remaining in the same position for the entire hour, however, you may do so.
In the event that your mind is overly active and that you cannot settle down, consider purposefully trying different positions or movements to see which ones work best for you. Discover what makes you most quietly comfortable.
As you rest on the session table, consider keeping your eyes closed. As visual stimuli comes in through your sense of sight, you are less likely to connect in profound, meaningful ways. Remember, always focus on your own intimate connection. By doing so, you simultaneously encourage others to do the same. By respecting and cooperating with this one, very simple request, Blue Night will be most effective.
Allow all sounds from the room to pass through you. The sounds you are more likely to hear include the music playing, people changing positions, moving and stretching, etc. Although some people may make additional sounds during their process (laughter and other emotions), we do not encourage it. Being Blue Night, however, we do not force people to process in silence or condemn participants who may need to express themselves vocally (in response to their enhanced emotional awareness).
From week to week, the quality of the music varies. You, however, are strongly encouraged to create your own music from within. The purpose of playing music during Blue Night is to help you get lost metaphorically, to help you dance to your own song with your own rhythm. In the same way that the masterful dancer gets lost and becomes the dance, you too can become the session.
Hold an intention to liberate the body. Move freely in union with your inner knowingness so that no separation exists between you and your delightful connection to wholeness. If the time is right, rest well. Enjoy the peace and deepening of breath.
As Blue Night unfolds, you may find times when you are communing with a profound stillness within. This is natural. If it occurs, allow yourself to remain with that stillness for as long as possible. As the mind settles into this quiet state, your body is better able to create and carry out its own powerfully intelligent strategies for advancing the art of living well.
Please know that you are a most powerful contributor to the success of Blue Night. You, along with each person receiving Type-4 Catalyst at the same time, amplify its effectiveness and reach. Therefore, thank you in advance for being both a participant and a contributor.
